Male Georgian/Regency authors Find!

Hi Super Sleuths,

 Here is a FIND!

Regency and Georgian Literature with a Kent Connection which Rob Illingworth has dug up.  They tie in nicely with our Jane Austen heritage link.

Male Georgian/Regency authors whose writings are strongly evocative of Kent places:

Edward Hasted- His essential history & topography of the County includes a useful entry on Godmersham Park http://www.british-history.ac.uk/report.aspx?compid=63421

John White Masters

Christopher Smart

Richard Harris Barham- His poem, The Wedding day from The Ingoldsby Legends, 1840 lists the "elegant tribe" of great Kent families that Jane Austen referred to in her letters.
