Jane Austen letters to Fanny Knight!

Dear Reading Detectives,

We had the most fantastic Reading Detective meeting yesterday, we had the opportunity to see the letters that the Centre for Kentish Studies holds from Jane Austen to her favourite niece Fanny Knight. Allison Cresswell and Rob Illingworth gave the most interesting talk on the Knight family and their relationship with Auntie Jane. Seeing the letters and hearing their stories brought everything to life. What an amazing Kent Find!!! The letters themselves are motherly advice from Jane Austen to Fanny who lost her mother at the age of 15.
