Life in the Country: With Quotations by Jane Austen and Silhouettes by Her Nephew James Edward Austen-Leigh

This book is a presentation of Victorian era silhouette art created by Jane Austen's nephew James Edward Austen-Leigh. Not wishing to diminish the artist achievement in any way, but I did feel they were using Jane Austen's name to sell the book and it took away from the the silhouettes created by James Edward Austen-Leigh which were in themselves excellent. The scenes that he chose reflect the English countryside in allows you u the imagine elements of the Kent countryside amongst them which include hunting, fishing, harvesting, animals and people engaged in activities that would have encompassed their country lives.  I greatly enjoyed the book but wished there was more detailed history on the art form. Which leads me to now explore other books...........

Extra folks have to read this and perceive this aspect of the story. I cant believe youre no more widespread because you positively have the gift.
